Aahwahan Foundation Launches ‘Lakshya’ for Underprivileged Students

Aahwahan Foundation inaugurated its project “Lakshya,” an initiative program to support the higher education of underprivileged children. Lakshya is presented as a program aims to mentor and empower over 300 individuals each year by providing opportunities, mentorship, and resources to help them pursue their dreams. 

The initiative is based on to understand that many poor children have capabilities and talent, but they often face problems and cannot study further not because lack of ability but due to financial challenges and limited access to quality education. Lakshya was started to help remove these problems so that talented students can get the same chances as others, no matter how much money they have.

The event also highlighted several Government of India initiatives which intend to provide benefits to deserving students. These include the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) for meritorious students from economically weaker sections at the secondary level, along with the Karnataka Higher Education Transformation Project and the PM-VidyaLaxmi Scheme, which aim to expand access to higher education and provide financial support.

During the event, Braja Kishore Pradhan, CEO & Founder of Aahwahan Foundation, stated that “Lakshya is not just a program; it is a promise from the heart to all those whose talents often remain unnoticed, every dream deserves an equal opportunity, and every gifted mind deserves guidance. Through Lakshya, we endeavour to walk with them, providing mentorship, resources, and unwavering support to convert those dreams into reality. One changed life gives hope to a hundred more, and that's the true reason behind this initiative."
