AESG, a consultancy, engineering, and advisory firm, has announced the opening of its new headquarters in Sydney, Australia, to serve the Australasian markets. The office will focus on expanding its services in Environment and Sustainability and Specialist Engineering, with offerings including Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD), Facade Engineering, Fire and Life Safety, ESG Advisory, Carbon and Net Zero Consultancy, Green Building Certifications, Low Carbon Engineering, Ecological Surveys, and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment. Devan Valenti has been appointed as the Director of Sustainability for Australia.
Valenti, who has over a decade of experience in sustainability across three continents, previously worked as Senior Manager and ESG Lead for Asia Pacific at the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). He was instrumental in developing the Green Star Buildings Rating used by Australian property developers and co-authored the book Green is Not a Colour. AESG also announced the appointment of Brent Ridgaard as Director of Environment to lead the Environment Department in the Middle East. Ridgard has over 20 years experience in environmental practice and is currently the National Director of Environmental Assessment and Planning at WSP in Australia.
