BlackRock has brought forth the iShares Global Real Estate Environmental Tilt UCITS ETF. This exchange-traded fund invests in listed real estate equities worldwide with a cohesive emphasis on ESG—environmental, social, and governance objective.
The ETF aims to provide exposure to a portfolio of real estate companies engaged in the ownership, development, and management of sustainable real estate globally. The ETF has been designed to track the pattern of its underlying index, the FTSE EPRA Nareit Developed Green Low Carbon Target Select UCITS Capped Index.
Omission of issuers engaged in controversial business activities such as those involved in oil sands, thermal coal, tobacco, weapons, and contaminates the screening process. After those changes, another series of adjustment are conducted to increase sustainability indicators. This include sustainable financing, pursuant to the Social Housing Credit Line with BPI.
