Bloomberg has introduced a new data service on the Bloomberg Terminal, designed to help companies meet the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements. The service, which covers over 1,000 metrics related to financial and impact materiality, is also available via Data License for enterprise use.
Starting in 2025, this data will aid financial firms in streamlining their sustainability reporting and informing their strategies. Patricia Torres, Global Head of Sustainable Finance Solutions at Bloomberg, stated, “Better data drives better investment decisions. Bloomberg ensures its clients benefit from the increased quantity, quality, and reliability of ESG data under CSRD.”
The CSRD data offering aligns the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) with Bloomberg data fields and includes historical data for metrics reported voluntarily or under previous regulations. Nadia Humphreys, Global Head of Sustainable Finance Data Solutions at Bloomberg, noted, “Bloomberg has the scale and experience to deliver the broad range of new ESG disclosures under CSRD efficiently. This marks the first milestone of our CSRD solution, helping clients make well-informed decisions.”
