The Center for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) has announced the agenda and keynote speakers for its 2024 Sustainability and ESG Leadership Summit, scheduled for September 30 at One World Trade Center in New York City. Organized in partnership with 1BusinessWorld, the summit aims to redefine the role of businesses in sustainability, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and Net Zero commitments. The summit will feature several prominent sustainability leaders from various industries. Notable speakers include Nikos Avlonas, President of CSE; Petra Wicklandt, Head of Corporate Sustainability at Merck Group; Amanda Gardiner, Head of ESG at Meta; Paloma Lopez, Chief Sustainability Officer at Group Bel; Roger Martella, Chief Sustainability Officer at GE Vernova; and Al Iannuzzi, Vice President of Sustainability at The Estée Lauder Companies. Other speakers represent organizations such as SAS, United Nations Federal Credit Union, BD, Bristol Myers Squibb, Oshkosh Corporation, CAE, Dennis Group, Alma Property Partners, API Group, and Paper Excellence.
The summit will cover a range of topics, including strategies for integrating ESG, overcoming challenges in ESG adoption, insights into ESG initiatives, guidelines for achieving Net Zero, and translating sustainability commitments into measurable actions. Alongside the summit, CSE is offering the Certified Sustainability (ESG) Practitioner Program (Leadership Edition) on September 26, 27, and October 1. This program will provide participants with tools and resources to enhance corporate sustainability strategies and ESG ratings. Attendees will also have the opportunity to earn a globally recognized Sustainability and ESG Certificate, with an option for additional specialization through a dual certification process in key fields such as Reporting and Net Zero. The summit presents an opportunity for participants to learn from and network with leaders who are driving sustainability and ESG practices forward.
