GANNI & Ambercycle Team Up for Circular Polyester Alternative

Ambercycle Partners with GANNI to Accelerate Sustainable Fashion Cycora ®
Boston, MA Ambercycle, a sustainable materials company, today announced that it has partnered with GANNI, a fast-growing, digitally native fashion house from Denmark, to speed the adoption of circular materials in fashion. In this partnership, GANNI will replace significant portions of regular polyester across its collections with Ambercycle's Cycora ®, sourced from end-of-life textiles.

This collaboration helps enter a circular economy by decreasing the material that ends up in landfills but also works towards reducing usage of virgin sources when developing textiles. Addition of use with Cycora contributes to the overall uptake of new sustainable alternatives in the textile sector.

Circular Innovation in Action
Cycora® is Ambercycle's innovative, eco-friendly polyester alternative. The environmental impact of end-of-life textiles fades, but not so the quality and performance for which high fashion is always willing to pay a premium.

By the end of 2021, Ambercycle and GANNI announced the start of their collaboration over the use of Cycora in the GANNI collections. The first piece introduced in November 2023 was a jersey consisting of 30% Cycora. Prior to the end of that year, the company prepared its products in 70% Cycora. Such items were presented at Paris Fashion Week. Here, at such an event, Ambercycle demonstrated at scale and the potential of using it for very high-end applications.
Ambitious sustainability goals set by GANNI include reducing the carbon footprint by 50% by 2027, as well as adopting at least 10% more sustainable materials, such as Cycora ^{Ò} in its collections, by 2025. GANNI takes the greatest leaps through this collaboration with Ambercycle in achieving and introducing new materials into the world of fashion towards becoming sustainable.

The fact that Ambercycle's technology now seems to embody hope that the industry will soon come around in embracing circular practice without compromising on its desired achievements toward sustainability places this collaboration in a far wider reach of influence as it further reenforces many more brands to break new grounds in circular fashion.
