GIB Asset Management Names Victoria Barron CSO
London-based GIB Asset Management (GIB AM) has today announced the appointment of Victoria Barron as Chief Sustainability Officer. Barron will be responsible for driving the firm’s sustainability agenda, framework and governance, and leading projects to improve the firm’s sustainability performance. She will also support the development and adoption of sustainability initiatives in the UK and the Middle East.
Barron was previously head of sustainable investing at Brightwell, which manages the BT Pension Scheme (BTPS). Prior to Brightwell, she held ESG investing roles at Newton Investment Management, Federated Hermes and CCLA. She is currently co-chair of the ASCOR project, an independent tool to assess country emissions trajectories, climate policies and climate-related finance needs..
