Godrej Design Lab of the Godrej Enterprises Group is launching the second edition of Conscious Collective, an initiative that enables the driving of sustainable development through material innovation and eco-friendly architectural designs. The summit will be held in Mumbai from December 13 to 15, 2024, and invite industry leaders, innovators, and changemakers with critical social and environmental concerns.
Conscious Collective 2024: Bridging Horizons for a Sustainable Future is focused on creating bridges between otherwise disparate communities and disciplines, underscoring that sometimes the most simple connections can create the biggest impacts. It inspires the involvement of the people in rethinking their urban living styles toward more eco-friendly choices. This year, the Godrej Design Lab has collaborated with the Council on Energy, Environment, and Water (CEEW) to look into the place of sustainability in an urban setup and how such a setting impacts everyday life.
Segments include thought-provoking conversations and interactive workshops, immersive experiences, and a special film section. Architect-spearheaded and student-led design studios will create over 20 unique installations. Industry leaders Kai-Uwe Bergmann, Sanjay Puri, and Chithra Viswanath will share their insights on sustainability, design, and the challenges of urban communities.
One of the most critical collaborations during the event is that with environmentally conscious institutions. India Climate Collaborative, Raw Collaborative, and the Charles Correa Foundation are just some names on the list of partners. The idea is to build a force that drives sustainable growth, fosters innovation, and shapes a more inclusive future.
Workshops and book reading sessions will serve to arm the attendees with practical know-how and enlightenment on conscious living. Workshops are available through Insider, and the preview night on 13 December will be a one-off for industry figures who have contributed to creativity.
Conscious Collective 2024 promises almost 4,000 visitors and various installations and workshops on offer in its first edition. Godrej Enterprises Group promises to make the most of this success by setting even newer and more challenging benchmarks for innovation in shaping a future for people and the planet.
