LILYSILK Strengthens Commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact in August Celebrations

In August, LILYSILK, a leading silk brand, celebrates its 14th anniversary and Brand Month by adhering to some key undertakings that emphasize community support and environmental sustainability. On National Nonprofit Day, August 17, it declared the addition of two new cooperatives with the World Woman Foundation and I Support the Girls to reinforce its commitment to social responsibility. Hand in hand with these new partnerships, LILYSILK has not forgotten any of the long-term partners, including the National Breast Cancer Foundation®, Baby2Baby, and One Tree Planted, to continue making more positive changes on some core social topics. LILYSILK partners with the World Woman Foundation to further women’s sustainability and leadership in North America and Europe. Being a sustainable fashion partner, LILYSILK joins the platform in an attempt to empower women for leadership by having them more engaged in using sustainable silk products that will lead to a future of sustainability. This partnership echoes a broader mission upheld by LILYSILK: the marriage of luxury fashion with environmental consciousness.

Other than cooperation with the World Woman Foundation, LILYSILK is also empowering I Support the Girls with a donation of over US$8,000 of bras. This gesture aims to benefit women suffering from homelessness and distress by ensuring they maintain their dignity and confidence. I Support the Girls collects all the vitals for women in need and distributes them—into which contribution by LILYSILK is sure to make a difference in many lives.

Another example of their social responsibility was the continuous support for the National Breast Cancer Foundation®. LILYSILK has contributed over $5,000 and eye masks amounting to US$43,000 since 2022 for the treatment of women with breast cancer. This cooperation represents broader activity conducted by the brand regarding women’s health and welfare, especially those in unenviable positions.

Another important cooperation that marks LILYSILK’s commitment to supporting communities in need is Baby2Baby, an organization distributing essential goods to children who are living below the poverty line. The brand has cooperated with Baby2Baby on activities, especially around Mother’s Day. This year, LILYSILK contributed to the distribution of 250,000 diapers to mothers and babies, thus making sure the basic needs of the most vulnerable are met. The support of baby2baby by LILYSILK allows the brand to make a difference in those who need it the most.

In 2023, care for the environment was taken to a new level at LILYSILK by cooperation with One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization specializing in global reforestation. Through this cooperation, LILYSILK participated in the planting of 35,000 trees in Brazil and Mexico. This action not only helps restore forests but is also representative of LILYSILK’s greater concern and responsibility for environmental protection.
