Electric Vehicle Powertrain Plant Launched in Sunderland, UK
UK electric vehicle sector enters key development phase as the automotive company that manufactures automatic transmissions, JATCO, has opened a new facility in Sunderland, North East England. The new facility of electric vehicle powertrain is set to be a supply source for electric vehicle powertrains which form an integral part of the burgeoning electric vehicle industry. It will be located at the International Advanced Manufacturing Park, IAMP. It will be supplying powertrains to Nissan's Sunderland plant, where it will continue its pursuit to help the UK transition into more electric vehicles.
New Plant Manufacturing JATCO's New Three-in-One 3-in-1 Power Train Unit The technology integrates the motor, inverter, and reducer into a unitary compact light-weight system that will considerably be contributed to enhancing efficiency and the performance of EVs produced locally.
