LNJ Bhilwara's Green Push: REPLUS & TACC

January 11, 2025 - The LNJ Bhilwara Group, which is the leader in textiles, power generation, and advanced materials in the country, is inching closer to a sustainable future with REPLUS and The Advanced Carbons Company (TACC). The two subsidiaries are working on renewable energy and carbon-based materials to enable India's economic shift towards a greener future.
REPLUS: Moving the Needle on Battery Energy Storage and E-Mobility
REPLUS is an independent subsidiary of Bhilwara Energy Ltd. It focuses on renewable energy solutions with high-tech battery energy storage and smart energy management platforms. For the first time in India, the company has developed a certified liquid-cooled battery pack of 32KWh by AIS-038 for LCVs. The modular battery packs are equally effective on large vehicles like 13.5m coaches and 55-ton trucks.
REPLUS is already mass-producing the battery pack at its 1GWh facility in Pune, with over 50,000 kilometers of on-road testing completed. The firm looks forward to leading the new energy battery sector by providing scalable and efficient solutions that contribute to green infrastructure and reduced carbon emissions.
TACC: Driving Innovation in Advanced Carbons
The Advanced Carbons Company (TACC) Limited, a subsidiary of HEG Limited, is developing advanced carbon-based materials, including synthetic graphite anodes for lithium-ion battery manufacturers and graphene derivatives for industrial applications. TACC's upcoming plant will have a production capacity of 20,000 MTPA of synthetic graphite anodes and over 4,000 MT of graphene derivatives.
The company's material helps improve lithium-ion batteries to enhance the power and efficiency in electric vehicles, and stationary energy storage systems. TACC continues with other technologies; these range from silicon-based anodes and hard carbon with sodium-ion; another is using processed graphite powder as bipolar plates, which can work in favour of India toward sustainability culture induction into sectors on energy production, buildings construction and materials manufacturing industries.
LNJ Bhilwara Group Focuses on Sustainability
On the other hand, the LNJ Bhilwara Group diversified its business and incorporated sustainability into its operation. With multiple industrial sectors, this group earns around USD 1.2 billion annually with more than 25,000 workers on its payroll. The investments by REPLUS and TACC represent long-term steps in the journey toward contributing to clean energy along with eco-friendly industrial progress.
Conclusion:
With REPLUS and TACC at the cutting edge of innovation in renewable energy and advanced carbon materials, LNJ Bhilwara Group is striving to establish itself as a gold standard in India for industrial sustainability. Such initiatives are not only opening up pathways toward a low-carbon economy but also cementing the group's stature as leaders in sustainable development.
