Marks & Spencer (MandS) has launched a new clothing repair service in partnership with tailoring and alteration specialist SOJO. The service, which is now available to MandS customers across the UK, is part of the retailer’s lifestyle initiative, ‘Plan A – Another Life’. Customers can access this service through MandS stores, website and app The service allows customers to order a range of repair options, including replacement of zippers and knitwear, online. Repairs start at £5 (US$6.56), and MandS clothing can be sent to SOJO’s in-house team for repair, with a turnaround time of seven to 10 days. The partnership is part of the £1m MandS Plan A Accelerator fund, which supports circular economy projects. The ‘Plan A – Another Life’ platform has other sustainability initiatives, including a beauty and stalks campaign and a clothes donation campaign with Oxfam. MandS also offers training videos on the platform covering topics such as laundry and adjusting hem lines.
