Normative Acquires Eivee To Expand Carbon Accounting Reach

Normative, the carbon accounting software developer from Stockholm, today announced its strategic expansion into Europe of its sustainability services by acquiring the Denmark-based carbon accounting solution provider, Eivee. Eivee is a 2020 Copenhagen-based company that has earned recognition for its software, summing up to three scopes of carbon emissions. Continued measurements and reporting of Eivee’s emissions data are guaranteed to comply with all the evolving environmental regulations while meeting companies’ internal aims to reduce CO2 emissions.

The promise of putting Eivee’s technology into Normative’s services holds great rewards for those companies committed to the goal of minimizing environmental impacts. Thomas Zeihlund, CEO of Eivee, is optimistic about the opportunities that this partnership will bring to his clients. He emphasized that Normative has unparalleled experience supporting hundreds of companies throughout the Nordics, the EU and the UK; their unique model pairs robust carbon accounting tools with expert climate guidance for Eivee’s existing customers.

Normative offers a carbon accounting system which allows businesses to map and measure their carbon footprints through analysis of various activities undertaken in the business’s operations. The data on which the platform is anchored is actionable, meaning clients receive recommendations on effective carbon reductions. This model of the company is not only beneficial for environmental sustainability but ensures that businesses are also complaint with regulations and climate commitments.

Kristian Rönn, CEO and co-founder of Normative, said he was excited about the acquisition and believed it would improve service capabilities across Europe. He noted that Eivee’s substantial client base, comprised of some of Denmark’s largest corporations, would fit seamlessly into Normative’s existing customer portfolio of Nordic, EU and UK customers. Normative’s history with carbon accounting and compliance would complement the sophisticated technology available through Eivee. He further added that his team has already begun working with Eivee’s customers to smooth out the processes of collection, reporting, and understanding emissions data.

This acquisition is therefore a strategic step for Normative in cementing its position in the markets of Europe. Advanced software and advisory services on carbon accounting from Climate Strategy Advisors make it easier for corporations to manage their emissions. Indeed, this collaboration shows what is increasingly needed for carbon transparency and accuracy as well as innovative partnerships that accelerate actions toward global climate goals.
