The Electricity and Water Company (Kahramaa) has launched a new project called ‘BeSolar’ which aims to promoting the use of solar energy throughout the country. The service is part of Qatar’s comprehensive national renewable energy strategy, which aims to generate 200 megawatts of electricity from distributed solar systems by 2030. The “BeSolar” service allows Kahramaa subscribers to choose to install solar-free energy systems.
