REPLUS Engitech Private Limited, a leader in advanced energy solutions, entered into a strategic partnership with DNV’s Green Power Monitor (GPM) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This focuses on the advancement of AI-enabled Energy Management Systems and Power Plant Controllers in India and key markets, with the objectives of enhancing grid security and stability and ensuring seamless integration of BESS and renewable energy technologies.
GPM’s Power Plant Controller is a sophisticated digital control system that has been designed to optimize the production and distribution of energies. The one performs active and reactive power, frequency, voltage, power factor, and ramp control along with the control of systems such as SVG and STATCOM in solar, wind, diesel-hybrid, and BESS facilities. This technology acts as a master controller for standalone power systems and assists in connecting power plants to grid operators while maintaining the lines according to the respective country’s Grid Code. In contrast, GPM’s EMS utilizes real-time data and accommodates changing conditions such as weather and energy pricing. It also takes into account priority dispatches from transmission system operators to enhance efficiency and reliability.
REPLUS Engitech has the D-Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade Certification, recognized as a technology-centric manufacturing firm that specializes in large BESS deployments. The company is built on extensive expertise in Lithium-ion battery technology, including the manufacturing of battery packs and in-house development of BMS. Secondly, it specializes in customizing and localizing EMS with market needs in terms of forecasting, scheduling, and tracking.
The collaboration would strongly support REPLUS Engitech in its role as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) provider and System Integrator (SI) for hybrid energy systems and future grid applications. Introducing these advanced technologies from GPM will give REPLUS the leverage to help utilities, industries, and communities transition towards sustainable energy solutions.
This partnership provides for a mutual undertaking to accelerate the pace of adopting clean energy technologies. Combining their manufacturing and integration know-how, the company is set to pool REPLUS’s experiences together with GPM’s cutting-edge innovations in control systems to drive growth in renewable energy infrastructure for both greater stability and resilience in the power grid. Together, they will take on the challenge of moving forward on all fronts toward green energy solutions for a secure future.
