DCB Bank has collaborated with Green Yatra-Green for the earth and well-being-with this project, perhaps as a significant step against pollution and enhancement of biodiversity. Six months in this process, however, 11,000 seedlings are now planted at two sites under green cover into one of India’s most polluted regions.
Today’s forest is growing taller every day, becoming very greener. This common effort of DCB Bank and Green Yatra coupled commitment gave-birth with the hope of bringing the idea into fruition in a terrific way. Together, they have turned this barren wasteland into a flourishing greener ecosystem which paves also the path towards a more vibrant and sustainable future for all.
Herein is demonstrated, indeed, the urgency where environmental projects such as Miyawaki Plantation must be conducted since these address environmental degradation and impulsion toward sustainable urban development.
DCB Bank’s future plans for the green Miyawaki forest are organized nature walks for employees and the creation of a butterfly garden that further enriches the ecologies while giving employees and the community a personal touch with nature. In addition to this, it encourages ecological awareness and a culture of sustainability within the organization.
It will create a very diverse ecosystem, serving varied species, while acting as a natural filter to absorb pollutants and improving quality at the air and soil levels. The application of native species will create the positive possibility of increasing health from direct exposure, while also forming a peaceful base for release from city confines.
