Suzlon Group, a global leader in renewable energy solutions, has bagged a 302.4 MW wind project from Jindal Renewables in Karnataka. Following this, it comes with the earlier deal of 400 MW signed in October this year. This will bring up the total capacity bagged from Jindal Renewables to 702.4 MW. This makes it the largest-ever order in commercial and industrial terms from a single client, thereby reinforcing its role in India’s growth in renewable energy.
The latest project in the Koppal region of Karnataka, Suzlon will supply 96 WTGs of its advanced S144 series. With a rating of 3.15 MW, each turbine is mounted on hybrid lattice towers and boasts state-of-the-art efficiency and performance. Renewable energy from these turbines will be consumed at steel manufacturing facilities in Chhattisgarh and Odisha, enabling Jindal Renewables to shift towards greener operations.
This deal epitomizes the growing synergies that Suzlon is fostering together with Jindal Renewables in promoting innovative industrial sustainable energy solutions. Moreover, it is also at the convergence of India’s targets of 50% of electricity in non-fossil energy resources, to be provided in India by 2030.
Suzlon, the Pune-headquartered company with a robust track record in renewable energy, now boasts 20.8 GW of wind capacity installed in 17 countries. This recent order further solidifies Suzlon’s leadership position in the wind energy industry and endorses its role in driving industrial decarbonization initiatives.
Conclusion
The deepened partnership between Suzlon Group and Jindal Renewables is a shining example of the growing momentum in India’s renewable energy landscape. Suzlon continues to drive the nation’s clean energy transition by delivering high-capacity wind turbines suited for industrial applications.
