Tata Power Renewable Energy and NTPC Collaborate on 200 MW Green Energy Project

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, and NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC, have entered into a collaboration to develop a 200 MW renewable energy project. This partnership aims to enhance India's renewable energy capacity and contribute to the nation's clean energy goals.

The project is designed to generate approximately 485 million units of green energy annually, which is expected to offset over 388,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. The generated power will be integrated into the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) Bus, facilitating efficient distribution across the region.

TPREL has been actively expanding its renewable energy portfolio, with a total capacity reaching 9,018 MW, including 4,547 MW under various stages of implementation. Similarly, NTPC REL has been scaling up its renewable energy projects, with plans to achieve significant capacity additions in the coming years.

This collaboration between TPREL and NTPC REL signifies a strategic move towards achieving India's renewable energy targets and underscores the commitment of both organizations to sustainable energy development.
