Environmental Performance
Blue Dart is changing the way it operates its logistics to produce less pollution and use energy efficiently. The company is focusing more on clean energy, increased consumption of electric vehicles, building low carbon facilities and reducing waste in its work.
Energy Transition
The company is rapidly shifting to electric vehicles and have already has more than 550 EVs on the road. It is also using the drone-based deliveries. Along with this, all new buildings above 10,000 sq. ft. is being designed to save energy by adding solar panels, LED lights, EV charging stations, and systems that use less water.
Renewable Energy Adoption
Blue Dart offsets 100% of the electricity consumed at all its offices through I-RECs. It has also installed solar plants at its Head Office (25 KWH), along with additional units at Bijwasan and Pataudi, to further strengthen in-house renewable electricity generation. Whereas in water conservation, projects implemented created 6.7 crore litres of water-saving capacity, especially in water-stressed areas.
Emissions Reduction
The company uses smart tools like automated routing, the use of EVs, robotics, and systems that predict carbon emissions which help Blue Dart reduce delays and fuel consumption and reduce pollution. Blue Dart is also shifting to cleaner aviation fuel (SAF) to lower emissions from flights. To be more transparent, the company is improving the way it measures and reports its carbon footprints. Blue Dart is investing in Scope 3 carbon reporting, dashboards for customers, so that they can see their carbon impact and offering certified green services.

Blue Dart works on environmental projects that help large number of people. It has planted more than 8,88,000 trees which together help absorb many carbons from the air. The company has also introduced eco-friendly packaging to reduce waste. To reduce waste, the company has also partnered with Delhi Metro to move goods in a cleaner and low carbon way. Along with this, Blue Dart has created 6.7 crore litres of water saving capacity in areas that face water shortages which delivers benefits to both the environment and local communities.
