Delhi Wakes Up With Pleasant Weather
Delhi is enjoying a refreshing monsoon break from the summer heat.
Monsoon has arrived officially in Delhi and residents are waking up with pleasant and rainy morning these days. The monsoon made its presence felt with cloudy skies and light to moderate showers across the city. The India Meteorological Department's has reported a yellow alert today, there is a chance of thunderstorms and lightning in various parts of Delhi. Delhi is set to experience the same weather throughout the day.
The noticeable drop has been recorded in the weather, bringing relief from the usual summer heat and making weather pleasant and comfortable. On Sunday, Delhi recorded the maximum temperature at 32.8°C at Safdarjung, which is about 4.4°C below the normal temperature for this season. According to IMD, the minimum temperature recorded this morning was around 24.0°C, was also lower than average temperature. Appreciably fall in minimum temperatures and maximum temperatures in past 24 hours over Delhi, making the weather feel more comfortable.
There has been continuous rain in Delhi. Some places, like Palam and Lodi Road, got a bit heavier rainfall this morning. However, the level of humidity remains high at 100%, which means it feels warm and sticky, but also fresh, like it usually does during the rainy season. The wind is blowing softly from the east-northeast at about 8 kilometres per hour, which helps make the weather feel cooler and more pleasant.
Looking forward in the report, the weather departments says that Delhi will continue to have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm for the next few days.The temperature is likely to stay in between 31–35°C during the day and 24–28°C at night. No heatwave condition is forecasted in coming week.
