The former drain, running through several sectors in Dwarka, preliminarily dealt with undressed sewage and solid waste, creating environmental and public health challenges for original residers. Responding to times of unbounded discharge and seasonal flooding, the DDA cooked a comprehensive master plan that included constructing new sewage treatment shops and realigning the water channel.
