Foundations Partner to Skill 1,000 Indian Youth for Financial and Tech Jobs
Ambuja Foundation and YES Foundation launch a two-year initiative to provide market-relevant skills training in BFSI, IT, and micro-finance for over 1,000 semi-urban youth across six Indian states, focusing on gender inclusion and employability.
A new skilling action aims to equip over 1,000 youthful people from semi-urban and pastoral communities with pivotal job-ready chops for the ultramodern frugality. The design is a two-time collaboration between the Ambuja Foundation and YES Foundation, set to run until 2026.
The programme will operate from 12 of Ambuja’s Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Institutes (SEDI) across six countries Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and West Bengal. Its primary thing is to bridge the gap between formal education and employability by furnishing training directly aligned with current assiduity demands. The class will concentrate on high-growth sectors, including Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Information Technology (IT), and Micro Finance.
A core ideal of the action is to insure strong gender addition, with a target of at least 55 womanish participation. This will be achieved through targeted outreach sweats, specialised job-readiness training, and devoted support for both job placements and pathways to tone-employment. Likewise, the cooperation will invest in strengthening digital literacy structure at the centres to expand access to online coffers and ameliorate overall literacy issues.
The scale of the challenge is significant. According to government estimates cited by the foundations, over 180 million youthful people are anticipated to enter India’s pool by 2035. Coincidently, the service sector alone is projected to induce up to 100 million new jobs by 2025. This cooperation is designed to harness this demographic eventuality by preparing youth for sustainable careers, thereby converting a large population into a productive demographic tip.
The Ambuja Foundation brings over two decades of experience in pastoral skill development to the cooperation. Its network of 51 SEDI centres across India has formerly trained further than 134,000 youthful people in 42 accredited courses across 12 sectors. Their model, supported by personalised comforting and strong assiduity liaison, boasts a notable success rate, with nearly 77 of graduates securing stable employment or starting their own small businesses.
YES Foundation operates as an independent non-profit concentrated on enhancing employability and entrepreneurship for depressed youth, frequently acting as a strategic multiplier for development systems. By combining their moxie, the two organisations aim to promote off-ranch livelihoods and produce sustainable income openings for youth in semi-urban areas, reducing reliance on changeable agrarian income.
The action represents a practical step towards addressing India's skilling gap.
