Heavy Rain Lashes Delhi-NCR Overnight, Waterlogging Reported
Since late last night, Delhi has been experiencing heavy rainfall, bringing pleasant weather to the city. The IMD has forecast light rain and cloudy skies for Delhi today.
Delhi and nearby areas have been experiencing rainfall since last night, which has relieved people from humid heat. On the other hand, many areas are experiencing waterlogging. According to IMD, moderate rainfall is likely until 13 August, after which medium rainfall is forecasted. This means this rainfall is just a preview, in coming days more heavy rainfall can be witnessed especially on Janmashtami.
Heavy rainfall in Delhi NCR
India Gate, Akshardham, Rafi Marg, Nizamuddin, Minto Gate, ITO, Noida and several areas are witnessing rainfall. Waterlogging can be seen in many places. As per the weather report, there is an alert for thunderstorms and windstorms in the city. The maximum temperature can reach up to 34 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature may be around 25 degrees Celsius.
Weather Forecast for 14 August
With the possibility of monsoon showers and heavy rainfall in Delhi, the IMD has predicted light rain throughout the day today. On 13 August, rainfall is expected to decrease, but on 14 August, heavy showers may once again lash the city. According to the IMD forecast, several areas of Delhi could witness intense rainfall on 14 August.
