Hindustan Power Signs 130 MW Supply Pact with Assam’s APDCL
Power supply to Assam began in October 2025, helping meet growing industrial and domestic demand
Hindustan Power has signed a Power Supply Agreement with Assam Power Distribution Company (APDCL) through its subsidiary MB Power (Madhya Pradesh) for the supply of 130 MW from its Annupur plant. The agreement has been executed under the Design, Build, Finance, Own and Operate (DBFOO) model.
The PSA follows the Letter of Award issued by APDCL earlier this year and is designed to meet Assam’s increasing electricity demand. Hindustan Power began supplying power to the state in October 2025, providing a stable stream of electricity to support both industrial and household needs.
Ratul Puri, Chairman of Hindustan Power, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting state utilities with reliable power. He added that the company is pleased to contribute to Assam’s energy requirements and its broader development goals.
With the start of supply to Assam, Hindustan Power strengthens its presence in the regional power market. It adds to efforts to build a more resilient and sustainable energy ecosystem in India.
