CASCA 2025, India’s premier climate action platform, concludes in New Delhi with over 500 stakeholders recognizing innovation in renewable energy, biodiversity, ESG, and sustainable practices. The first edition of CASCA 2025 brought together leaders from policy, business, and civil society to promote climate action in India. The event recognized 35 innovators and featured global participation, showcasing India’s growing leadership in sustainable development.

The inaugural edition of the Climate Action & Sustainability Conference & Awards (CASCA 2025) concluded in New Delhi on April 24, bringing together more than 500 key stakeholders to accelerate India’s climate response. Organized by TheCSRUniverse with M3M Foundation as the Lead Partner, CASCA aimed to serve as a national platform for climate leadership through collaboration, policy discussions, and recognition of sustainable innovation.

Held over two days, April 23–24, the event focused on key issues such as renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards, circular economy practices, electrification, climate finance, and community engagement. With over 10 panel discussions, global keynote sessions, and an exhibition on green innovation, CASCA 2025 provided a platform to share cross-sectoral insights on climate solutions.

The event recognized 35 individuals and organizations across diverse fields with the CASCA Awards, which highlighted scalable and impactful work in climate innovation and sustainable development. Among the honorees, IIT Ropar – Technology and Innovation Foundation was awarded for biodiversity conservation efforts. AROH Foundation was acknowledged for its community-led sustainability initiatives, while Mlinda Charitable Trust was recognized for its contributions to green manufacturing.

In the climate technology category, Aurassure Pvt Ltd was awarded for its innovation in climate monitoring and predictive solutions. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd received recognition for its initiatives in renewable energy integration. In the sustainable construction category, Studio for Earthen Architecture was awarded for promoting eco-friendly building designs.

Other notable winners included End Poverty for sustainable farming, Bambrew Plant Fiber Technology Pvt Ltd for sustainable packaging innovation, and CHAL Shoes for eco-conscious product design. Hyundai Motor India Ltd was recognized for its efforts in waste management and circular economy, while Marpu Foundation was honoured for its work in water conservation.

The CASCA Editorial Choice Awards also highlighted leadership in climate action and social impact. Tata Trusts and the Wildlife Trust of India were recognized for efforts in forest conservation. ITC’s ‘Well-being Out of Waste’ initiative was honoured under the Swachh Bharat category. SELCO Foundation received recognition for advancing the government’s Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment).

Public sector and government initiatives were also acknowledged, with Indian Railways and the Jharkhand Government receiving awards for state-led sustainability efforts. Individual honours included Ms. Vani Murthy (climate influencer), Narendra Kumar (young achiever), Karnav Rastogi (youth climate ambassador), and ARCH College of Design & Business for integrating sustainability in education.

The jury for CASCA 2025 consisted of senior experts from top Indian institutions including IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee, IIM Ahmedabad, IIPA, CSTEP, BIMTECH, and TERI-GRIHA Council. Their selection ensured a rigorous evaluation of the awardees based on innovation, impact, and scalability.

An exhibition at the event showcased clean tech innovations, ESG solutions, and climate-focused startups from across India. This platform provided visibility to emerging ventures and innovators aiming to create low-carbon and sustainable models.

The participation of international diplomats, including the Ambassadors of Lithuania and Iceland, further added a global dimension to the conference. Both diplomats expressed their intent to expand bilateral partnerships with India on sustainability and climate adaptation, highlighting the international relevance of India’s climate leadership.

CASCA 2025 emphasized the urgency of collective action and cross-sector collaboration to address the climate crisis. Organizers TheCSRUniverse and M3M Foundation announced plans to scale the platform into an annual national movement, aiming to build stronger linkages between grassroots action, industry leadership, academic research, and public policy.
