London Fashion Summit To Discuss Circular Economy and Supply Chains

The Future of Sustainable Fashion summit will be hosted in London on 24 June in association with London Climate Action Week, where discussions will be centred around circular economy models, transparency and sustainability problems within the fashion industry.

The summit will be held at The Mills Fabrica, King’s Cross, and it is anticipated that fashion companies, sustainability NGOs, policy makers, and academia will attend.

As per the information provided by the organisers, the summit will look into the environmental and social problems associated with the global fashion industry, which includes textile waste, over-production and issues of supply chain transparency.

It is anticipated that discussions on recycling, waste, consumerism, labour conditions, and regulations of sustainability will form an integral part of the agenda. Participation of members representing various organisations, including WRAP, The Or Foundation, Green Alliance and Ellen MacArthur Foundation, has been planned.

In addition, talks on innovations within materials and the finance of sustainable production processes would feature within the agenda. Various companies and research institutions focusing on alternative textiles and supply chains will participate in the summit.

This conference takes place amid growing criticism from stakeholders regarding fashion companies’ environmental footprint with regard to emissions, water usage, and waste creation. Governments and sustainability organisations have also made efforts to ensure greater transparency in fashion supply chains.

The sustainability agenda in the fashion industry has lately been centred around issues associated with environmental reporting and the establishment of more circular production systems.

The conference is one of the events organised in the context of Earthfest 2026 at London Climate Action Week, focusing on matters related to climate policy, sustainability, and low-carbon transition plans.

Fashion is considered one of the most resource-intensive industries globally, with scholars still drawing attention to its environmental implications.
