Luminous Power Technologies highlighted its manufacturing and renewable energy plans in Odisha during a government event held in Khordha.

According to the company, Odisha has become a strategically significant destination for manufacturing expansion, especially in the areas of solar and energy storage. The state’s industrial policies, enhanced infrastructure, and emphasis on clean energy are among the factors that have influenced the firm to make significant investments in Odisha.

According to Vivek Abrol, the CEO & MD of Luminous Power Technologies, “Odisha has become a strategic destination for Luminous, not only from the point of view of manufacturing but also as an entryway into the emerging Indian clean energy eco-system. With favourable industrial policies, increased investment, and enhanced infrastructural development, the state of Odisha has become increasingly significant in India’s overall industrial and energy scenario.”

Over the past few years, Luminous Power Technologies has made investments in Odisha, with two manufacturing facilities being developed in the state. In Angul, the company will establish itself as an energy storage and manufacturing facility that deals with state-of-the-art energy storage and manufacturing processes. Moreover, Luminous Power Technologies will establish itself as a solar cell manufacturing plant in Gopalpur with the aim of enhancing its solar value chain within India. Both of these facilities are under construction and will become operational shortly, providing yet another milestone for Luminous’s manufacturing operations in India.

At Khordha, Luminous showcased its solar solutions, including technologies designed for residential, commercial and industrial customers. The company’s range of products includes on-grid, off-grid and hybrid systems for different energy needs. The product lineup includes Topcon bifacial solar panels, inverters, batteries and the Connect X monitoring app.

Luminous looks forward to contributing towards the job creation, skills enhancement, and industrial development in the region along with contributing to India’s renewable energy industry through the upcoming projects at Gopalpur and Angul. With India aiming for a low-carbon future, eastern India is likely to take on an increasingly important role in renewable energy production and infrastructure construction.
