Microsoft And Clearloop Partner For Clean Energy Growth

Clearloop, a Silicon Ranch carbon solutions platform, signed a multi-year deal with Microsoft to deploy up to 100 megawatts (MWAC) of renewable energy projects within the next three years, aimed at decarbonizing the grid and investing in socioeconomically diverse communities. The partnership will focus on historically underinvested communities, with a goal of spurring grid decarbonization and capital investment in about 20 locations throughout the United States. The effort is an important milestone toward the progress of both environmental and social justice through clean energy.

The projects are expected to prevent over 5 million metric tons of carbon from entering the atmosphere over the next four decades, marking a major achievement in reducing emissions. The focus will be on enhancing the energy mix in Arkansas and Louisiana through the development of new solar projects.
