Supertron Electronics has stepped up its CSR push, spending ₹2.59 crore in FY25 and reaching over 500 beneficiaries, with a focus on rural and underserved communities.
Through the Supertron Foundation, the company is working across education, healthcare, skill development and community welfare. A large part of this effort is anchored in its partnership with Antyodoy Anath Ashram, which has been supporting abandoned children since 1995. The foundation took over the ashram’s daily financial needs in 2022 and has since expanded its support.
It has set up a computer learning programme linked with over 60 schools, reaching more than 45,000 students. The focus is on basic digital skills and early exposure to technology. The company is also investing in school infrastructure, including the Supertron–Khagendra Sishu Siksha Kendra, and supporting another school in Birbhum that caters to around 250 students. Six crèches run by the foundation currently support nearly 180 children, alongside midday meal programmes for both students and elderly groups.
On the community front, the foundation recently organised its third mass wedding event with the ashram. Thirteen couples from low-income backgrounds across Birbhum, Purba Medinipur and South 24 Parganas took part. Chairman and Managing Director V. K. Bhandari also performed the kanyadaan for a tribal couple during the ceremony.
Healthcare remains another focus area. The company has been running medical camps, awareness drives and blood donation programmes aimed at improving access in areas where services are limited. In parallel, skill training is being scaled up. More than 150 young people have been trained through vocational programmes, with the aim of helping them find steady work.
Bhandari said the company sees growth and inclusion as linked. The focus, he said, is on creating opportunities that lead to long-term change.
Beyond these programmes, Supertron is also supporting initiatives for senior citizens and children with special needs. The company now plans to expand its skill development centres to reach more regions, signalling a push to scale its social impact alongside business growth.
