Sustainable Mobility Fuels Summit 2025 To Spotlight India’s Multi-fuel Future
The summit brings together policymakers, fuel manufacturers, automotive leaders, fleet operators, technology providers, and sustainability expert
Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India is all set to organise its 9th Sustainable Mobility Fuels Summit (SMFS) on 11-12 September 2025 in Delhi. The two-day summit will serve as a definitive platform to initiate meaningful conversations that strategically drive alternative fuel adoption in India's transport ecosystem.
Today, India is uniquely placed amidst the energy transition towards clean fuel, having seen a handful of startups emerge in green fuel space. The automotive industry is undergoing a paradigm shift wherein E20 (ethanol-20) fuel is being introduced besides many other green alternatives. India is watching a host of low energy options ranging from CNG, LNG, CBG, ethanol-blended flex fuels, hydrogen, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), with massive investments being poured into these technologies towards an all-around transformation to mobility.
The summit brings together policymakers, fuel manufacturers, automotive leaders, fleet operators, technology providers, and sustainability experts under the central theme of "Driving Sustainable Mobility through Alternative Fuels".
Raj Manek, Executive Director, and Board Member at Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd., added, "India's roadmap to sustainable mobility requires a multi-fuel and multi-technology approach. Sustainable Mobility Fuels Summit, previously NGV India, has become a convergence for industry, academia, and government to join forces in aligning strategy, innovation, and implementation resources. We are proud to present and welcome the support of key ministries, associations and global thought leaders to help shape a greener, cleaner transport future for India."
The conference will feature over 20 technical presentations, panel discussions, and leadership dialogues, focusing on a range of crucial topics including challenges, risks & plausible mitigation actions in the alternate fuel ecosystem (CNG- LNG, ethanol, hydrogen, CBG, SAF), policy, standards and regulatory frameworks needed for scale-up of alternative fuels, sustainable fuel infrastructure - CGD network expansion - investment plans, advanced hydrogen cylinder technologies for safe & scalable mobility, real-time emissions tracking and reporting using smart sensors, and leak detection and gas safety management.
