Delhi-NCR is experiencing intense cold these days and icy winds are making people shiver even during the daytime. Since the sun has not been visible in the last few days, people are forced to stay at home to avoid cold. To protect themselves from chilling cold, many are using heaters and bonfires. Not only chilling condition is affecting the region, but dense fog and pollution are also major problem which is reducing visibility significantly during early mornings and nights.
In the early morning today, several areas across Delhi-NCR were covered in moderate to dense fog. As a result, road traffic has been moving slowly, and air travel has also been impacted. Many trains and flights are running late due to poor visibility.
How Will the Weather Be in Delhi Today?
Delhi weather will remain clear during the day according to the Meteorological Department, but people may still see fog late at night. In the afternoon, cold winds are likely to blow at speeds of 15 to 20 km per hour. The maximum temperature is likely to reach around 18°C, while the minimum may stay near 8°C. In some areas, cold wave conditions could be seen. The IMD has also indicated that the cold is expected to increase further in Delhi mostly between 5 to 8 January.

In the next three days, the weather condition in the city is expected to remain mostly clear as per the report by weather forecast. There is little chance of sunshine during the day. However, light to moderate fog may continue in the mornings. On 6 and 7 January, strong winds are expected to blow in the afternoon at 15 to 20 km per hour, which may make the weather feel colder but later wind will slow down.
