It’s raining! The monsoons in Delhi NCR are different now as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for June 4 and 5, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds. This means the weather will get unstable across the city and nearby areas. People need to be careful, especially during lightning.

The rain has begun in several parts of the city and it might cool things down after Delhi's recent super-hot weather. There is an expectation that the temperatures may drop after the rainfall. Meteorologists warn that thunderstorms and strong winds may cause trouble particularly for commuters, construction workers, and people trapped outdoors for long periods. While the shower will bring relief, and advised to stay safe too. 

IMD forecasts rain may continue until June 6. People are advised to check weather updates before stepping out. During thunderstorms, avoid standing under trees as it could fall, instead find safest area to stay. Residents should also secure anything loose on rooftops or balconies so that strong winds do not blow them away.
