Delhi Set for Warm, Partly Cloudy Week

Delhi will witness a combination of hot weather and patchy rain today. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted scattered showers in parts of the region in the afternoon and evening which will provide temporary relief from the sultry heat.

The day began with a minimum temperature of 29.2°C, and the top is likely to reach 36.7°C. The Humidity level is fluctuating around 48%, accompanied by moderate winds of 14–15 km/h. Even if there is a chance of light rain, air quality remains a problem. The Air Quality Index was recorded 107 on Monday, which means the condition of air is in “poor” category.

The IMD has reported that light to moderate rain can persist in scattered places throughout the week, but no rain in the city is likely. Citizens are requested to drink plenty of water and make minimal exposure to the sun during the afternoons.

For the subsequent days, the maximum temperature is anticipated at 33°C to 36°C, whereas the minimums will be 23°C to 26°C. IMD has forecast a combination of sun and scattered clouds over the area, with humidity anticipated to remain moderate in nature. The IMD has forecasted that this pattern would prevail up to at least 22 September with only scattered possibilities of light showers.
