Epigral Scales Up Wind-solar Hybrid Power Plant To 38.14 MW

Chemical manufacturer Epigral Limited on Wednesday announced that it has expanded its Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Plant capacity from 18.34 MW to 38.14 MW. The expanded capacity is expected to be commissioned by the fourth quarter of FY26 and will play a crucial role in meeting the company’s growing power requirements for its upcoming projects.

For the same, the company has collaborated with Prozeal Green Energy to create a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) that will help in setting up an additional 19.80 MW capacity. Epigral is set to invest Rs 21.38 crore for a 26% stake in the SPV.

The partnership will be formalised for a period of 25 years through an Energy Subscription Agreement (ESA) and a Share Subscription and Shareholder Agreement (SSSHA) between both the companies.

Epigral has already announced plans to expand its capacity for CPVC Resin to 1,50,000 TPA (Tonnes Per Annum) and Epichlorohydrin (ECH) to 1,00,000 TPA. Moreover, the company has recently commissioned a state-of-the-art Chlorotoluene value chain plant at its Dahej facility, further enhancing its production capabilities and reinforcing its leadership in the specialty chemicals market.
