ESDS Plants 10,000 Saplings In Warwandi

ESDS Software Solution led a Tree Plantation Drive in Warwandi, Nashik, planting 10,000 saplings in a single day as part of the company’s long-term aspiration to enable the planting of over one billion trees. The aspiration is value-led and reflects ESDS’s belief that environmental responsibility should translate into visible, community-anchored action.

The drive was inaugurated by Piyush Prakashchandra Somani, Promoter, Managing Director and Chairman, ESDS Software Solution Limited, together with Komal Somani, Whole-time Director& Chief Human Resource Officer, ESDS Software Solution Limited, by planting a sapling, setting a clear tone for participation and purpose. More than 200 ESDS employees joined local stakeholders to turn a monsoon morning into a shared act of care for the land.

The day’s effort came to life through collaboration with public agencies and village-level institutions. The plantation was supported by personnel from the Nashik Forest Division and facilitation from Warwandi’s local administration.

“Our aspiration to contribute toward a billion trees is not a slogan; it is a reminder to keep showing up for the places we live in,” said Piyush Prakashchandra Somani, CMD, ESDS. “Warwandi reflects what we value: people coming together with local institutions to do something simple, visible and good. When participation is sincere and community-anchored, small efforts begin to add up and support the green cover we all depend on.”

“Environmental care at ESDS is about participation with purpose,” said Komal Somani, WTD & CHRO, ESDS. “Someday our children will ask what we built that they can breathe in and belong to. That question keeps us honest. In Warwandi, our teams chose to spend a day creating shade, soil health and habitat for years to come. That spirit, showing up, contributing and respecting local guidance, is how our one-billion-trees aspiration takes shape in real life and keeps our focus on actions that matter.”

The Warwandi drive adds to ESDS’s environment-linked initiatives in Nashik district and centres on practical outcomes that support local green cover (habitat support, soil stabilisation and shade). For volunteers, the day offered a simple, shared experience: arrive as colleagues, act as neighbours and leave the site a little better than they found it. For local institutions, the collaboration reinforced an approach where citizen participation complements public stewardship. The energy of the 200+ ESDS employees who joined the effort, across functions, age groups and tenures, was a reminder that ecological care grows when people find a role they can own.

By design, ESDS’s communications around environmental initiatives are clear and responsible. They reflect the organisation’s values and encourage participation; they are not forecasts or targets and do not imply financial commitments. The company remains focused on actions that are meaningful in spirit and respectful in approach, undertaken with relevant authorities and local institutions. In that sense, the Tree Plantation Drive at Warwandi is not a one-off event but part of a wider practice: working with public agencies, engaging employees and contributing to the places ESDS calls home.
