Formula E Teams Up with MrBeast for Global Sustainability Push

Formula E’s 2025 collaboration with MrBeast combines high-speed electric racing and conservation, featuring a Gen3 Evo vs. cheetah stunt. Aimed at raising EV and climate awareness among youth, the campaign supports habitat restoration and highlights zero-emission motorsport. For India’s growing EV market, such efforts could drive adoption—if backed by real environmental impact.

Formula E Teams Up with MrBeast for Global Sustainability Push

To encourage sustainability, Formula E, the electric racing series, has teamed with YouTube star MrBeast and staged a race between a Gen3 Evo vehicle and a cheetah. This partnership seeks to draw millennials into the battle against global warming.

Published in July 2025, the alliance uses MrBeasts 300 million subscribers to highlight Formula Es sustainability goals. Reaching 320 km/h with 70% recycled materials, the Gen3 Evo vehicle emits zero tailpipe emissions, therefore matching the series' net-zero objectives. Filmed in South Africa, the cheetah race showed the speed of the cars while also advancing wildlife conservation, with profits going toward restoring African habitat. Powered by 30% renewable energy, formula Es races aim to lower motorsports' 0.5% share of worldwide emissions.

Such efforts could help India, which already has a growing EV market of 1.7 million units in FY25, increase awareness of electric vehicles. Promoting electric mobility, the collaboration fits Indias PM E-DRIVE project. But critics contend Formula Es dependence on air transport for races raises emissions and that high-profile stunts run the danger of obscuring meaningful climate action. X posts celebrate the participation but ask about its long-term effects.

With a possible Hyderabad event in 2026 backed by 500 crore in infrastructure funding, Formula E intends to expand in India. Localising car manufacturing and increasing renewable energy use could help sustainability. Though the carbon-neutral certification series from 2020 sets a benchmark, there are still logistical obstacles.

This collaboration strengthens Formula Es green objective. Provided they prioritize quantifiable environmental benefits, comparable projects for India might propel EV adoption.
