Globe Toyota has partnered with BioTradX to digitally track and recycle used engine oil and other recoverable materials, with around 30,000 litres of waste oil set to be processed into biofuel each month

Globe Toyota Partners BioTradX For Used Engine Oil Recycling

Globe Toyota, a JCBL Group Company and one of North India’s largest Toyota dealership networks, has partnered with BioTradX. This digital marketplace enables Indian businesses to trade recyclable and recoverable materials through a transparent, compliant system. Globe Toyota has integrated the platform to manage and monetise the used engine oil, recyclable materials, and other recoverable resources generated across its dealerships.

This initiative directly aligns with the focus of Globe Toyota and the JCBL Group on circular economy practices. By adopting digital tracking, the automotive group is bringing modern traceability to routine resource recovery across its entire footprint. While the partnership is starting with used engine oil, the companies expect the scope to expand over time to include a wider range of recyclable and recoverable waste materials.

Under this partnership,  Globe Toyota will further strengthen its recycling and circular resource management initiatives across its dealership network. The company said in a statement that as part of the initiative, approximately 30,000 litres of used engine oil per month is expected to be channelled for environmentally responsible processing and conversion into sustainable biofuel products, reinforcing Globe Toyota's commitment to resource efficiency and the circular economy.

Solar panels installed across several dealership locations have together cut down 2,58,286 kg of CO₂ emissions — roughly the same impact as planting 7,709 trees — while also bringing energy costs down by 40%. On top of that, water-efficient car wash systems have helped cut annual water use by 36%, saving about 1.34 crore litres of water every year. These aren't standalone wins — they're part of a bigger plan to cut the company's carbon footprint in half by 2030, a goal that got an extra push with the Ludhiana dealership recently earning ESG certification.

Vivek Datta, Managing Director and CEO of Globe Toyota, a JCBL Group Company, said, "Sustainability has never been a side initiative for us. It has shaped how we run our dealerships, from the energy we use to the water we recycle. Partnering with BioTradX lets us bring that same discipline to how we manage waste, particularly used engine oil and recyclable material from our service operations. It is a natural next step in a journey we have been on for years, and one that reflects the kind of dealership group we want to be."

Shubham Bansal, Founder, BioTradX, said, "Globe Toyota's commitment to integrating sustainability into its operations reflects the future of responsible industrial growth. At BioTradX, we are proud to support this journey by enabling transparent, traceable, and efficient resource recovery. This partnership demonstrates how digital infrastructure can help businesses strengthen circular supply chains while creating measurable environmental and operational value."

As Globe Toyota continues to scale its sustainability efforts across Northern India, the BioTradX partnership adds an efficient and structured layer to its existing initiatives. It reinforces the company's position as a dealership group that treats environmental responsibility as core to how it operates, not as an afterthought.
