Delhi-NCR to Witness Stage 4 Bans as AQI Levels Nearly Reach Hazardous Threshold The air quality in Delhi-NCR has been at a dangerous turn of events that have forced the authorities to implement severe curbs under the Graded Response Action Plan, GRAP. Following the steep decline in air quality levels, caused by adverse weather conditions continuing to dominate, the Centre's panel on air quality in the National Capital Region implemented Stage 4 of the GRAP and imposed restrictions on Wednesday. The India Meteorological Department, in consultation with the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, had predicted that the Air Quality Index would breach the 400 mark soon.
