India to Host Major Renewable Energy Expo as Sector Booms

The 18th Renewable Energy India Expo 2025 in Greater Noida will showcase innovations as India's renewable capacity surges by 420% and the country targets over $360bn in clean energy investment by 2030.

India to Host Major Renewable Energy Expo as Sector Booms

The 18th Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo, an important event for the clean energy and energy efficiency sectors, will be hosted in India from October 30 – November 1, 2025. There will be more than 700 exhibitors and more than 35,000 trade visitors expected, including policy-makers and investors, at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida.

The REI Expo 2025 is being held at a pivotal time for clean energy in India. Current statistics show an incredible 420% year-on-year capacity addition (1.4 GW in June 2024 to 7.3GW in June 2025). This continuing growth is part of the national commitment to invest over USD 360 billion in renewable energy and infrastructure development by 2030. Furthermore, India is moving non-fossil fuel capacity from 76 GW in 2014 to approximately 234GW in 2025.

Organized by Informa Markets in India, the REI Expo 2025 will be the most comprehensive platform covering the whole energy value chain with the theme for this year being: Decoding Pathways to Achieve Net Zero, alongside representation of renewable energy generation technology, including, but not limited to: solar manufacturing, battery storage, charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EV), wind, and biomass energy.

The Expo Floor will host all the players of the industry, including Adani Solar, Waaree, Havells, Luminous Power and Goldi Solar, and others! It will host a few pavilions dedicated to specific sectors of the industry as well. There will be a Bio Energy Pavilion featuring 65 companies sponsored by the MNRE. There will be a Start-up Pavilion for Innovation showcasing the latest innovations, as well as an Investor zone so entrepreneurs can meet investors.

Internationally, we should expect strong participation with a Country pavilion from Germany and Belgium presented with the EU’s Cluster Collaboration Platform, along with strong representation from large clean energy markets including China, Japan and Korea.

A vital aspect of the Expo will be a detailed conference programme. The Knowledge Platform will host the Energy Storage Summit India (ESS India), which will provide over 26 sessions. These sessions will address some of the challenges the Industry is currently facing, including financing models for BESS, ways to de-risk investments, and India's role as a potential global supplier hub for energy storage components. Other sessions will examine talent development, the circular economy of batteries, and the integration of EVs and bio-energy.

The conference will also examine the impacts of important government programs such as Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and , the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). In addition to the REI Awards, other high-profile forums will include a CEO Conclave, and CTO Forum.

With an aim of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity, India's continuing expansion towards renewable energy is seen as a fundamentally important move for energy security and sustainability principles. REI Expo 2025, as expected, will act as an important and a convening point for those involved in the energy sector towards a smooth transition to clean energy development.
