GEON has appointed Mahender Singh as Chief Operating Officer to oversee operations and support the company's expansion in energy storage and electric mobility solutions.
The Indian battery and electric mobility company GEON has announced the appointment of Mahender Singh as the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). The appointment comes as the company strengthens its footprint in the Indian energy storage and electric mobility space.
Management of operations across manufacturing, sourcing, research & development (R&D), engineering, and factory operations shall be handled by Mahender Singh. Business growth, operational improvement, and customer involvement shall also be among his responsibilities.
GEON operates in the clean energy industry and produces battery packs used in electric vehicles that utilise lithium-ion batteries. GEON has ventured into Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), industrial energy, and energy storage for homes. It recently underwent a rebranding exercise and changed its name from Battrixx to GEON, reflecting its new strategy of focusing on clean energy products.
Singh has an industry experience of 25 years in the automotive sector, electric vehicles, electronics, and manufacturing industries. As stated by company disclosures, Singh has handled massive operations in India, Europe, and Asia and has occupied leadership roles in various manufacturing companies.

This move has come at a time when GEON is continuously increasing its footprint in the field of clean energy. The company is looking to strengthen the area of energy storage systems and electric mobility systems. There is an intention to reinforce itself in the country of India.
