The monsoon has withdrawn from Delhi, and the IMD has predicted a rise in temperatures. Once again, the city is set to face the heat. Let’s look at today’s weather.

Monsoon Withdraws from Delhi-NCR, Heat Adds to Residents’ Woes

The heat in Delhi-NCR is about to get tougher for the residents. As per the India Meteorological Department's latest report, the monsoon has fully retreated from the capital city over the last 24 hours. There is no chance of rain now, and unless a new weather system, western disturbance, or cyclonic circulation forms, the city will have to bear dry and humid heat.

Weather in Delhi Today

As per the IMD, the day temperature in Delhi will be around 35 degrees Celsius and the night temperature will be 23 degrees Celsius. Weather over the city will continue to remain clear for the next two days. Day temperature during the period can remain at 36 degrees Celsius while the night temperature will be at about 26 degrees Celsius. The wind will be blowing at 25-35 km/h but there is no expectation of strong wind. Between 27 and 29, there may be light cloudiness that will yield some respite from the heat.

Warning for Delhi Residents

With the monsoon season over, Delhi residents will now need to endure hot sunshine and steamy heat. Authorities have recommended that the residents should consume lots of water, avoid exposure in the sun, and venture outdoors primarily during the morning or evening.
