Muthoot Finance Launches Digital Classroom Initiative
Muthoot Finance is helping government schools by installing smart digital panels to make teaching and learning easier and more interactive.
Muthoot Finance has started a CSR programme called Muthoot Shiksha Jyothi, aimed at supporting digital facilities in government schools. In the first phase of the project, 75 smart interactive panels (65-inch screens) are being installed across Government Upper Primary and High Schools in various regions.
The programme was launched at Paul George Global School, Alaknanda, New Delhi. It will include schools in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Ludhiana (Punjab), Odisha, Mumbai, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Pune, Kolkata, Siliguri, Raipur and Guwahati. The event was attended by Vijender Gupta, Hon’ble Speaker, Vidhan Sabha, Delhi; Shikha Roy, MLA, Greater Kailash (GK); Alexander George Muthoot, Joint Managing Director, Muthoot Finance; and George M. George, Deputy Managing Director, Muthoot Finance.
Alexander George Muthoot said, “Education continues to be the cornerstone of our CSR philosophy, accounting for nearly 75% of our overall CSR spending. Through ‘Muthoot Shiksha Jyothi’, we are strengthening digital infrastructure in government schools to enable better access to technology-driven education for students across regions.”
George M. George said, “Our CSR approach is focused on creating long-term impact at the grassroots level. With ‘Muthoot Shiksha Jyothi’, we are addressing a real infrastructure gap by enabling access to digital learning tools that can support both teachers and students in everyday classroom instruction.
The smart interactive panels introduced under the initiative are intended to support classroom engagement and digital teaching methods. After the pilot phase, Muthoot Finance will review the programme’s outcomes and execution. Based on the review, the initiative may be extended to additional locations in later phases, depending on regional requirements.
