Omega Healthcare's Social Impact Arm Reaches Over 160,000 Lives in South India

Omega Healthcare has shown the vast impact of its corporate social responsibility efforts, which has positively impacted over 160,000 people in South India. The breadth of this community work was showcased in the company's annual flagship event, Sangam 2025, in Bengaluru.

The event, hosted by the Omega Forum for Social Impact (OFSI), convened corporate leaders, non-governmental organisations, and community members, weaving a narrative of collaborative transformation. Exploring the theme "Beyond Livelihoods: Seeding Futures, Shaping Journeys," the focus of the gathering was to go beyond basic corporate compliance and to create social impact that is intentional, deeper, real and measurable.

A notable feature of Sangam 2025 was an engaging craft bazaar. The craft bazaar provided a space for women entrepreneurs and 'Seva Shakthis' - OFSI supported grassroots women leaders - to display their craft, showcasing their entrepreneurial spirit and added value. The craft bazaar provided an opportunity as well, to directly connect community members with corporate stakeholders for economic empowerment and engagement.

The information presented at the event illustrated OFSI's substantial impact over the past six months. Its programs have propelled meaningful change in underserved regions of South India. Some of its flagship programs focus on skilling rural youth to be employment - Project 10K, involves additional Seva Shakthi programming that affects primary and mental health care, women's leadership and market linked skilling programs at a local community level.

As Omega Healthcare grows, its business portfolio continues to include technology and managed outsourcing solutions to healthcare organizations, and the company reasserted its commitment to continue to increase its social impact. Through OFSI, the company is creating a model where business growth and community wellness are developed together.
