SHREE has launched a three-day sapling distribution campaign for World Environment Day 2026 while highlighting its use of digital fabric printing and natural fibres to reduce water consumption in garment production.
Clothing brand SHREE is holding a three-day sapling giveaway drive in all its outlets to commemorate World Environment Day 2026. Shoppers at the participating outlets will get saplings during the drive.
This comes as part of measures taken by the company to improve its manufacturing practices, such that less water is used in the process of making clothes. SHREE indicated that it uses digital printing in most of its manufacturing.
During digital printing, ink is applied straight to fabrics with no need for repeated washing, unlike the case with screen printing. As a result, the company says digital printing reduces water usage by up to 90% to 95%.
Estimates point out that traditional methods of printing use as much as 50 litres to 200 litres of water for each kilogram of fabric, while only 2 to 20 litres of water are required by the digital printing process.
It was also mentioned that most (90%) of the fabrics produced by the company are digitally printed, and 85% of its clothes consist of natural fibres.
Sandeep Kapoor, Founder and CMD of SHR Lifestyles, said the company is linking its manufacturing practices with environmental awareness efforts through the campaign.
The sapling distribution programme is being conducted at SHREE stores over three days. It coincides with World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5.
SHREE is the flagship brand of SHR Lifestyles Pvt Ltd. Founded in 2009, the company sells women's ethnic wear through physical stores and online platforms.
According to the company, it operates around 140 stores across India and international markets, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Riyadh.
