SIAM Showcases Green Initiatives at Energy Week

New Delhi, February 11, 2025 - The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) at India Energy Week (IEW) 2025 is hosting the Sustainable Mobility Pavilion that highlights decarbonization efforts across the sector. The event will be held from February 11 to 14 at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi. The second one of the showcases to green mobility solutions is by the Indian automobile manufacturers through its innovations.

Green Mobility Showcase Industry-Wide

The SIAM Sustainable Mobility Pavilion, "People-Centric Mobility Ecosystem," will feature 15 future-ready vehicles and technologies. Solutions that are powered by Flex Fuel, Gas, Compressed Bio Gas (CBG), Pure Electric, and Hydrogen are also part of the showcase. Production-ready vehicles from leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hyundai, Toyota Kirloskar, Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, and Suzuki Motorcycle India will be showcased.

This indicates a commitment from the automobile and auto-component manufacturing industries toward developing multi-pathways for reduction in carbon emissions. The showcase itself promotes a transformation toward cleaner fuels and novel powertrains aligned with long-term sustainability for the nation of India.

India Energy Week 2025: International Platform

Organized under the G20 Presidency, IEW 2025 is an ultimate event for the stake holders from the energy and mobility sectors. It will attract 20 Foreign Energy Ministers and Deputy Ministers, heads of international organizations, more than 90 CEOs leading the energy companies from all around the world. Besides, 700+ exhibitors and more than 70,000 delegates from 120 countries will attend the event.

This event, therefore, stands testimony to the fact that the Indian automobile sector plays a paramount role in the global sustainable energy transition and contributes towards India's targets in achieving Net Zero by 2070.

Net Zero and Sustainability Commitment

Indian automotive industry is highly investing in clean transportation technologies to be in alignment with national and global sustainability goals. It does so by pushing for alternative fuels, electric mobility, and energy-efficient vehicle solutions. This brings significant steps towards decarbonizing transportation.

Knowledge sharing, industry collaboration, and policy discussions for accelerating the adoption of green mobility solutions are the aspects that the Sustainable Mobility Pavilion focuses on. In light of this, the showcase would create awareness and encourage the widespread use of environmentally friendly transportation across India.
