SolarSquare Crosses 250 MW Installed Solar Capacity

SolarSquare on Wednesday said that it has crossed 250 MW of installed capacity, while powering India’s solar revolution.

With operations in 20 cities today, the company plans to expand to 50 by 2030, entering new emerging markets in the near future. Of the 250 MW milestone, 100 MW comes from residential projects, installing rooftop solar on 25,000+ homes and on 240 housing societies. The other 150 MW has been driven by commercial and industrial projects, where the company has solarised factories and warehouses of leading brands such as Swiggy, D’Decor, Force Motors, and several more.

Operating on a full-stack model, from design and installation to government permits, financing, and long-term maintenance, SolarSquare eliminates middlemen to deliver a seamless and affordable transition to clean energy.

“It's been 10 years of building SolarSquare and we are humbled to have become the #1 residential solar brand of India today” said Shreya Mishra, CEO & Co-founder of SolarSquare. “But we are just getting started, while 20 Lakh homes in India have adopted solar so far, there are crores of homes still waiting to join the solar revolution of India. And that’s why we are the first company in India to offer rooftop solar with a promise of guaranteed savings, taking responsibility for not just the installation but also 100% responsibility of the performance of solar thereafter. Making the switch to solar truly hassle-free for Indian families”

While the government set a 40 GW rooftop solar target by 2026, only 11 GW has been achieved so far. The company is helping bridge this gap, particularly with the rollout of the ₹75,000 crore PM-Surya Ghar scheme, which aims to solarise 1 crore households.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025, the company is reinforcing its role in powering the country’s transition to clean, affordable, and locally generated energy.
