Suzlon Secures 204.75 MW Wind Energy Order from Jindal Renewables

Suzlon, the leading renewable energy solution provider, declared that it has secured a large 204.75 MW wind power order from Jindal Renewables. The fresh order has been placed by Jindal Green Wind 1 Pvt Ltd, one of the operating units of Jindal Renewables, and is a testament to Suzlon's leadership in the renewable energy industry.

Suzlon will deliver 65 S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs) of 3.15 MW capacity, each with Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLT). The turbines are to be installed in Tamil Nadu's Karur district, a significant milestone in the regional renewable energy sector.

This order is a part of Suzlon's continued association with Jindal Renewables, being added to the firm's record highest portfolio of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) wind power orders. Suzlon now achieved a total cumulative capacity of 907.20 MW order in C&I orders that comprises previous orders too powering the plants of Chhattisgarh and Odisha of Jindal Steel. This is reflective of Suzlon's market leader status of providing clean energy solutions to Indian industry customers.

The energy generated from the wind turbines shall be used for captive consumption by Jindal Steel's steel plants in Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Not only will the project make Jindal Steel's steel plants sustainable, but it will contribute significantly to India's green revolution.

The order is also in line with Suzlon's growing focus on the C&I segment, which accounts for 59% of the company's order book. It is a landmark as Suzlon's order book reached a record high of 5.9 GW, the company's highest ever.

Suzlon's technological innovations, such as high-speed S144 turbines with Hybrid Lattice Towers, are driving it toward its vision of providing clean and efficient renewable energy solutions. This deal also supports Suzlon's leadership in the Indian wind energy segment.

By the completion of this order, Suzlon will be at the leading edge of driving India to a clean energy revolution and becoming an ally in its long-term vision to be sustainable.
