The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), in collaboration with State Designated Agencies (SDAs), hosted Investment Bazaars in four states—West Bengal (March 13), Maharashtra (March 20), Karnataka (March 20), and Odisha (March 21). These events brought together key stakeholders from industries, banks, financial institutions, Energy Service Companies (ESCOs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Designated Consumers (DCs), Energy Auditors, and policy experts to facilitate financing for sustainable energy solutions.
The Investment Bazaar provided a platform for discussion about financing opportunities in energy efficiency where bankable projects amounting to roughly 37.52 crores were exhibited during the Investment Bazaar sessions. Development efforts are directed toward linking project developers with financial institutions with a view to increasing access to capital for energy-efficient technologies and practices.
To date, more than 40 Investment Bazaars have been organized by BEE in various states across India, which shows the trust and commitment of the Bureau toward bringing energy-efficient solutions into every corner of the country. The continuing bond between the Bureau and SDA marks just one more step into sustainability, with the reduction of energy consumption and promotion of green investment in this country.
