BLive Launches EV Fleet Ownership Model for Last-Mile Logistics Sector

Electric mobility company BLive has launched BLive PRIME, a franchise-based ownership model for electric cargo vehicles, with plans to deploy 500 vehicles during the current financial year.

The rollout will begin in Bengaluru and later extend to Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad, according to the company.

The launch comes as demand for last-mile delivery services continues to grow alongside the expansion of e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms. Logistics operators are increasingly adding electric vehicles to urban delivery fleets as they seek to reduce operating costs and comply with sustainability targets.

Under the BLive PRIME model, investors can own electric cargo vehicle fleets while BLive manages vehicle deployment, maintenance and day-to-day operations. The company said participation in the programme requires a minimum investment of ₹50 lakh.

The model will focus on electric mini-trucks used in urban freight and delivery operations. BLive said the vehicles will be deployed through logistics networks serving businesses involved in goods transportation and last-mile deliveries.

According to the company, its existing network supports operations for logistics and delivery firms, including Hyperpure, Porter and Delhivery.

Sandeep Mukherjee, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BLive, said commercial logistics is emerging as an important segment for electric vehicle adoption due to regular vehicle usage and increasing demand for delivery services.

BLive said the programme is intended to support fleet expansion by connecting vehicle ownership with logistics demand. The company stated that investors will own the vehicles, while operational responsibilities will remain with BLive.

The company has operations in fleet management, charging solutions, franchise services and electric mobility-related technology. The launch of BLive PRIME marks its entry into four-wheeler electric cargo fleet ownership and management.

Electric cargo vehicles are expected to account for a larger share of urban delivery operations as logistics companies expand their networks and increase investment in alternative mobility solutions. Industry observers note that factors such as charging infrastructure, vehicle financing and operating costs will continue to influence the pace of adoption.

BLive said deployments under the new model will begin during the current financial year, with vehicles being added in phases across the selected cities.
