Blueleaf Energy, Jakson Green to invest $400m in Rajasthan Solar Project

Investment in the expansion of renewable energy reaches a high of $400m
Blueleaf Energy, the renewable energy company headquarter in Singapore, will join forces with Jakson Green in India for massive green energy projects. Two firms on Friday said that they agreed to invest in a 1 GW solar project in Rajasthan and that would get this country a step closer toward clean energy by putting in a sum of $400 million in investments.
The project is comprised of three solar farms, which have already been signed to 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with some of the major power companies in India. This includes Solar Energy Corporation of India, NHPC Limited, and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, which forms part of the central government.

This is part of a bigger commitment from the companies to bring over 5 GW of renewable energy onto India's power grid by 2030. All the completion dates are 2026; so one would reckon that all of these plants together could generate enough electricity annually to light up roughly 1.5 million houses. The entire program has been estimated to prevent around 22 million tons of CO2 over more than 25 years-roughly equivalent to taking 5.1 million cars off the road.
India is fast getting equipped with renewable energy capacity to be compatible with climate commitments and in the wake of that, this Jakson Green-BLueleaf Energy alliance is the next step towards achievement of the net-zero emission goal, in line with that of India, thereby, heading further in achieving clean sources of energy.

Major Renewable Energy Alliance for India

Indian authorities are collaborating closely with the private sector in investing in major renewable energy projects, which include the Rajasthan solar project. These will take India to an ever-growing list of clean energy initiatives that will take India to a total of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
Blueleaf Energy brings a wider experience in the capabilities of renewable energy development, whereas Jakson Green brings strength on project execution. Strategically, the reason this collaboration makes sense is that it espouses a new trend in India's energy transition: international partnerships.

Rajasthan Solar Project Impact

Energy Generation: After the completion of 1 GW solar farms, the project would contribute towards India's renewable energy pool in a robust manner.
Carbon Abatement: The project would abate 22 million tonnes of CO2 over its lifetime.
Economic Development: This project will help provide employment in Rajasthan and enhance India's renewable energy market.
With such huge potential for energy supply to India, investing in the sphere of sunlight and other alternative renewable sources is unavoidable. The government has taken its steps in passing relevant policies and providing incentives in order to attract foreign and indigenous investors to encourage rapid acceptance of clean sources of energy.

Conclusion:Another step into trying to be able to come close to that ambitious clean energy target set out for India for the country through the Blueleaf Energy-Jakson Green joint venture. Made this much invests in, propelling a step further forward from dependence and dependency on renewable sources of fuel.
